On My List

Hey Thrift Buddies!

Here are 5 thing that are currently on my list! I search for them every time I go to the thrift store.

1) Sunflower Dress

love dresses and sunflowers and all I want is a cute little 90's sunflower frock! This has been on my list for a couple years, but I’m not giving up.

this dress I found on pinterest is so perfect!

2) Denim Jacket

I want a nice worn denim jacket that I can restyle and make my own! I've seen some really cute tutorials on pinterest that show denim jackets restyled. One tutorial showed sewing a canvas painting on the back of a jacket. Another showed tie-dying a jacket. And another showed covering a denim jacket in patches. The possibilities are endless!

3) Sheep or Lion Figurine

My favorite animals are lions and sheep, so I’m always keeping my eyes open for little lion and sheep animals trinkets that I can put around my room to make me smile.

4) Embroidery

I love embroidery so much, little colorful details on cotton shirts melt my heart, so I am always looking out for them.

love the floral embroidery found on this shirt

5) Record Player

I love the idea of having a record player, but they are really hard to find at a thrift store. I have been searching for a while! I might have to give in and just buy one, because I really want to listen to my records.

how cool is this record player from urban outfitters?!

So yea, that's my list at the moment.

Ocean City- Thrift Shop Exploring

Hey Thrift Buddies!

The other day, some friends and I went on a mini road trip to Ocean City, NJ. It was an amazing trip! I've never been to the beach in winter, so I was so excited to cross this off my bucket list. The day was perfect! The sun was shining, the sky was clear, the water was oh so blue...it was just a bit chilly. After visiting the beach. we went to a little town full of super cool shops. One of the shops we came across was called Mew to You. The earnings from this thrift store helps to rescue cats. The store was so cute and homey. There were little trinkets everywhere. They also had some pretty valuable vintage stuff, which was really cool to see. We went on a day when records were half off! My friend and I picked up six records, for a $1 each! Also, there were like 5 vintage Elvis records, how cool is that!

Found so many awesome records!

Elton John & Village People ♥

Olivia Newton John & Nat King Cole- So Good!

If you have never experienced the beach in the middle of winter, I would definitely encourage you to. When it's not summer, a quiet and peaceful slumber resides on the beach and the surrounding town, It's the perfect place to find some rest and enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

Also, if you ever find yourself in Ocean City stop by Mew to You, it supports a great cause!

Tropical Leaves- Handmade

This tropical leaves fabric has been laying around my house for the past 10 years. When I was younger I thought it was ugly, now I see it as beautiful. I recently made a little zipper pouch and tote bag from the fabric. They make me smile.

Goodwill Thrift Haul- A Little Disappointing

Hey Thrift Buddies!

I went to the thrift store the other day...and I only got two things! Can you believe it! Let me tell you, Goodwill disappointed me this time. I saw a couple cute things, but nothing that fit right. It was kinda sad.

So the two things I bought were a record and a cup. I don't have a record player...yet. But, I bought this record in anticipation and because I liked the photo- there is a lion and a lamb on it. ♥ Also I bought this green cup to use when I'm painting with watercolors. The cup also reminds me of camping which makes me happy.

I literally only spent $1.44 that day, which is crazy for me at the thrift store.

I just love this record sleeve- I can use it as decoration until I get a record player

The dark green and the white speckles ♥

There were a few things that caught my eye, but I didn't buy.

I found this denim shirt very interesting. I love embroidery so much, so when I saw the white stitching on the denim, I grabbed the shirt immediately. This shirt made me smile, but sadly it didn't fit right.

I've never seen a denim shirt embroidered like this, pretty cool though

I really liked this sweater, but it was a little small, and I like my sweaters to have lots of room. Anyway, I just loved the pattern and the colors. Ahh it was so beautiful! Perfect for a cabin or something. Also it was 100% wool! I hope someone cool buys it and rocks it!

So beautiful and warm
I only got two treasures this time, but I am satisfied with my purchases.
I still love Goodwill and I'm not gonna give up on it!
